Deck Renovation

Family Pools will help you with your deck renovation needs. We will evaluate your existing deck surface and make a recommendation on what we find. If you have an existing concrete surface that is extremely cracked in allot of places we will advise you in what we should do. Depending on what we find we may recommend power  grouting to stabilize the existing deck before performing crack repairs. Family Pools has the pumping equipment and manpower to fill the voids under existing concrete Decks and jacking them up ;Slab Jacking. There are various products out there for doing crack repairs once the deck is stabilized. We generally use a Urethane product that stretches with the existing deck during expansion and contraction cycles. We have had good luck with the Rhino Hide brand and Aqua Bond brand urethane crack repair. Bear in mind that most slab cracks could occur again in future coatings. There are a few suggestions we make if you do not want to see these cracks again. We could incorporate them into a stone patter in a Uro Tile or Spray deck coating or we could install one of out floating deck systems we use that is a sure fire technique to ensure the cracks do not appear again. We will educate you on what is Good-Better-Best and price them accordingly so you can make a proper consumer decision.

 

Floating Deck Solution

Swimming Pool Floating decks are basically sand set concrete or marble pavers. The system requires an installation of a pool coping piece that extends around the swimming pool and is cemented down. The coping comes in many shapes and sizes to suite various deck profiles. We recommend that we install new deck drains at this point if needed. Deck drains come in 1.5 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, and 4 inch widths with removable and non removable tops. we will offer many products to choose from depending on our site evaluation. Some times there is enough room to install full size standard thickness products and other times we are limited to 1 inch renovation thickness products. This is where our expertise and experience will guide you.
